Take a screenshot on the iPhone

February 2, 2010 Leave a comment

Press the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time to click a screenshot of the screen that is currently displayed on your iPhone. If you did it right, you’ll hear a camera shutter sound, your screen will flash white, and the snapshot will appear in the “Saved Photos” library of the Photos app. You can email this to your friends and show off that new desktop background that you configured.

Display Projection/Secondary Monitor options in Windows 7

January 29, 2010 Leave a comment

Have you desperately tried messing around with the OEM display driver utilities which came along with your hardware to display your screen contents on a projector or a secondary monitor? This quick tip lets you quickly toggle the display projection or secondary monitor settings on Windows 7.

Just hit Win + P and use the arrow keys (or keep hitting Win+P) to switch to “clone”, “extend” or “external only” display settings.

The underlying application can also be accessed by running ‘displayswitch.exe’ (without the quotes).
